The preview pics and themes sound interesting. So when is the site going live?

We are working on it as fast as we can, now doing the CMS & Design part.

And we already have 10 scenes to push it , give us few more weeks and we should be ready. ;)

I need to find out how to get tapes from MINIDV to .wmv like what hardware i need to convert it all, thats where our content is on.

Most mini dv cams will have a FireWire™ (IEEE 1394) chord that you can run from the camera into the computer. I know Final Cut Pro and Avid you can decide on compression when importing, I'm not sure about software like Adobe and Movie Maker. When you export your edited content you can then render as .wmv or .mov (or whichever you prefer). I believe that most computers - those running XP or the like - automatically recognize when a camcorder is plugged into the machine and starts the process of importing fairly easily.

If you're using FCP or Avid then the import is a little more difficult but the hardware remains the same in that all you need is the camera that you shot the footage on and a firewire cable.

I am not a member of the site. Have seen a few vids on youporn.com (I believe) and found the not to my taste but as they say, whatever rocks your boat.

I am just wondering why you would want them in WMV format. This is the one format I try and avoid like the plague. What is wrong with DivX or XVid? At least those you can just pop on a memory stick (or in my case simply plug the whole external HD into the TV or DVD) and away you go. This surely must be the better option, especially as it is supported by almost every bit of hardware (TV/DVD/BlueRay) that is out there.

Just my two cents worth of course.

I think WMV is fine, but definitely avoid MOV or anything from Realplayer. Ugh.

Also, I hope you're going to allow members to download the videos and not just stream them.

Ok thanks for the tips guys, thing is i don't have the MINIDV cam, i got the tapes from our producer but i don't have the cam to put them in, i`ll try to see how to get it.
