How about making this forum "private"?

A few days ago I noticed a post about someones picture and extracts of their posts having been posted on another site. If I remember correctly, the site was not particulary "small penis friendly".

How about making the forum private, so only member actually get to see either pics or posts.

Anyway, I for the time being have deleted my pics. I am not into being abused on someones website. Also, if not already the case, there should be a passage in the T&C's about confidentiality and copyright of the post/pics remaining with the poster, maybe with the added hint that any such breach would be liable to prosecution.

An open forum is an open invitation to abuse it seems. You should respect peoples privacy by helping to protect your members.

Thanks for you attention.

I agree

Agreed hoverfly. However, on this forum, that won't happen before hell freezes over...

Minuteman: You may be right but on the other hand... let's give the guys a chance to prove us wrong. I guess it may all have to do with how much you know about running a forum, set up its functions, etc. so there may be technical difficulties behind some of the delays that I have read about.

I'm not a member of the paysite, don't believe in paying for porn/sex but I did gather there were/are some issues with updates. I have often wondered whether or not the guy in the porn clips might not actually be the one running this forum as well. Would make sense, you could save money on either actors or admins.

Whatever.

i think that the pictures and videos section should be made private :) the other can be left viewable by everyone.

I'd prefer the whole thing to be shut off from the "public" but I'd be quite happy to settle for your suggestion.

On second thoughts...

... I am unsure but it may be easier to enforce a rule that only coded links are permitted.

If you open a live (clickable) link on a page, your browser send a referrer that contains information about where you came from, ie. which, if any page requested the new one. Web analyser software seeks such information and prestents it to the webmaster who can then decide on what to do with that information.

Here's how a coded link should look:
Code:

www.nasa.gov
To achieve this, type the link in or paste it
Highlight the link
Click on the "#" button at the top of the toolbar
Done and dusted

Furthermore, a good tracker software will track you IP address right back to wherever you may have accessed the site from, so watch it if you feel tempted to access this site from work.

On that note, always remember you leave your footprints everywhere.

Quite right. Contrarily to what most people believe, anonymity does not exist on the internet. Everything you do can be, and sometimes is, tracked, even if you are using obfuscating techniques. They do make it more difficult to track you but it still possible. And most people don't use these because they don't even know they exist.

This is a good idea, i`ll make the pics/vids sections private, so people need to register in order to see them.

Thank you very much for your response ricemaster. Also, I would suggest making it a rule to post only live links that stay inside the forum as suggested two posts up.

Thanks again.
