I think that if you have this sort of "fear" or shyness about the woman's reaction, it's best to let her know about it before she has the chance to see it. How exactly to bring the subject up is harder to suggest, maybe ask the girl what does she appreciate most in a man and maybe work from there. If she knows and is still interested it's gonna be easier. If she drops interest, it's easier too.
