Thanks Virgin and Stoutman for taking the time to reply.
There is only one series I ever got into and that's Doctor Who. Especially the older stuff. But that's a different story alltogether.
OK, the gun toting bit I can understand I suppose, it is an American series and your police officer do all carry guns from what I understand.
Stoutman, pardon my ignorance but what is a 'squint'? In british English it is an eye condition and I am pretty sure you weren't referring to that. Must be an American colloquialism that I am not familiar with. I would appreciate if you could elaborate a little on this. Thank you.
So, pretty much as I had presumed, there is an awful lot of, let's call it 'poetic licence' involved.
And no way on gods green earth will I tell my wife about NCIS. This is bad enough, at least in my opinion, no need for any more. I did enjoy the initial feature length programme when it was first aired but after that and as with all series' the pattern pretty quickly emerges and I don't need to be told umpteen times that we are now whising out the bottle of luminol to make the blood stains visible. Well, whatever, the programme does seem to have a huge following around the world. So good luck to them.
Thanks again guys.
