Jo, that made a very interesting read. Do you think that sites that 'appear' more reliable, ie. like the ones in the UK that advertise on TV are any better? They seem to be going down the road of 'Marriage Bureaus' at least in their TV ads, more then just a fun place to hook up, since this might give the impression of promoting prostitution and would instantly be banned from the box.
Just curious and you didn't mention what sort of sites they were, that you used.
That with your overweight, cute lady, yes, that does seem a shame. You seem to get into more and more trouble if you don't fit that perfect body image. Now, that being said, in a recent documentary on the BBC, I think it was part of the science series Horizon, The Truth about Fat, that they claimed that in Britain now 25% of all women and 20% of all men must now be classed as obese (I can imagine those figures to be similar in the USA and a lot of other countries), yet still this myth of everybody looking like a Baywatch Babe (or whatever may be the latest fad) is perpetuated.
Relationships are just much about physical appearance and little or no attention is paid to the human being behind it. Must make for a lot of very lonely people.
