TD, it is there but there are only two options that I had a look at when I discovered my mistake. One being 'Mark This Group Read' and 'Subscribe to This Group'. I too had anticipated that having joined the group I would be able to unsubscribe there but no.
Well, it is not important really. I'll just let it sit there quietly in my profile. It's not a big deal. Thanks for trying anyway.
