A lot of embedded links are no longer working - My Tiny Dick Forum

By accident I came across a fair number of posts with embedded internal links, non of which are working anymore.

I changed all the links in my signature, now at least they are working again but others, such as the embedded links in this thread

http://www.mytinydick.net/talk/showthread.php?p=25989

are all way off. First thing I noticed that all the links have this format:
http://www.mytinydick.net/talk/!m361...html#post26221

Obviously, the problem is with the first part of the link which ends in !m3612!, the rest is fine, if you remove the faulty part first. Mind you, that being said, the page isn't displayed properly and the only remedy I found for that was to edit the post and save it without making any changes, then you get a fully working link.

Is this due to the forum having crashed some time back? Or is it a new version of the forum software and it was forgotten to follow the proper import instructions?

Just curious and maybe other might find this useful too, seeing that a lot of posts will be reported as 'Page not found', despite it really still being there, just needs changing the URL the is being opened.

Hello,
a while ago we decided to drop the fancy urls. this created urls for all posts with endings like showthread.php?t=2343465475
because old links were saved with the seo friend urls inside them, they will not work now and there is no simple/automatic way to fix this. i am sorry about the inconvenience.
however, the link you pointed out is definitely messed up, but that is probably because of the original posted, we never had this code inside our urls: !m3612!
