I think there are a couple points that despite being important, have just been left out.

1. Whatever sexual practice, it doesn't necessarily do anything for you in particular.
2. Some practices do take time getting used to. Especially rectal stimulation can be a touchy subject since it is most commonly associacated with gay encounters, so you might say, there is an unconscious element to it.
