Do you have to pay to use these dating sites? Pardon my ignorance but being an old fart that never quite figured out what was wrong with meeting people face to face, I am rather curious.

We have TV ads about various UK dating sites and I know you have to pay for those but at least on TV they state that it is all about finding the perfect partner, for marriage, partnership, etc. Whether they lead to anything or not, I have no idea and matching interests and viewpoints I find hardly convincing evidence of compatibility. In fact, there is an old saying... opposites attract and at least with my wife and myself this most certainly holds true. She's the visual artist, I couldn't draw a stickman. I do logic and math, she does compassion and emotion. Opposites attract, there must be something to it.
